Kurdish Wedding

I have started working on a project documenting the Iraqi Kurdish community in Nashville.  Nashville has the second highest Kurdish population in the United States and I think its fascinating.  I was able to photograph a Kurdish wedding a few weeks ago.  After interviewing the band, they invited me to the wedding that night.  The happy couple didn’t know I was coming, but were extremely gracious hosts.  It was a beautiful wedding and here and these are few shots from the night.

Dr. John Day 2

These are all photos of Dr. John a few weeks ago, I’ve been slow to get them up.  I was able to go visit Dr. John at his friend’s store where he volunteers.  We then went to his camp, which is surprisingly close to downtown Nashville.  It would probably be about a mile from downtown.
