As I post this Nashville is being hit with severe weather.  I don’t think it will last long.  Davey and I watched it roll in on his morning walk.

Mom and Ralph came to Nashville to visit this past weekend.  It was great to see both of them and we had a great time.  Ralph knew more about the downtown nightlife then we did so he took us out and showed us around.  Downtown Nashville on a Saturday night reminds me of Court Street in Athens, Ohio on Halloween.  It’s pretty interesting.  Mom and Ralph, thanks for coming! It was great to see you!

Our dog Davey had his surgery and he did great.  He has to wear the cone of shame for a month and have his eye stapled shut for two weeks.  He is not happy.  I can’t wait for the month to go by and for him to be a happy, pain free puppy once again.

Garret and I went camping for his fall break at Rock Island State Park.  I built the fire both nights.  I’ve never done that before.

We had an eventful Saturday.  We started out with a vet appointment for Davey.  We got a second opinion on his eye to make sure surgery was necessary.  The vet was the best we’ve seen so far and he confirmed that surgery was the right thing to do.  Little Davey will have his surgery on Thursday.

After the vet appointment we went our friends Jeff and Sara to check out the legend of the Bell Witch.  The Bell Witch is the story of a ghost  that haunted the Bell family in Adams, Tn in the late 1800s.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bell_Witch) She supposed to still be in the area and we took what we thought was a haunted tour.  It was also Sara’s birthday.  Happy Birthday Sara!   It turns out the tour was not haunted whatsoever and the area we toured was a sort of re-creation of the original area.  We did get to tour a real cave and since Sara is a high school science teacher it was cool to hear her explain the minerals in the cave and the different rock formations.  I did some explaining myself on the tour.   These people on the tour said their cameras couldn’t focus because of the Bell Witch.  My debbie-downer self was quick to explain that the cameras wouldn’t focus because the cameras couldn’t distinguish contrast.  Who wouldn’t know that?  I did get a creepy shot, but only due to a long exposure with a combined zoom out.

After the Bell Witch the car over heated, but it wasn’t a big deal.  Sara and Jeff are really upbeat and we ended up getting water from a local farm.  It was most pleasant car problem I’ve ever witnessed.   I got some nice shots from an old barn at the farm.  If  Garret and I ever have a car break down again, I hope its with Sara and Jeff.

I’ve been a little lazy with getting my photos up the past few days.  I have been shooting everyday.  This is my Friday shot.  It was our 2 month wedding anniversary and so my husband gave me two beautiful roses.
